Free: The Conversation
A free live panel. The bank, the tax, the paperwork, and whether any of it's even legal. Four members who were exactly where you are. Plain English, no scripts.

What we're doing together
Between now and 26 January, 100 more of us take a real step towards free. Whatever free looks like for you, Thursday night could be your first step.
Never heard of one? Most people haven't.
It's the same kind of structure your local footy club or church group has run on for generations. A group of people agree on a written rulebook, open a bank account, and run it themselves. No company to register.
The proper name is an unincorporated association. Our members call it a UA. On the night we'll explain who it suits. And who it doesn't.
Where these structures come from, and what the ATO expects from one.
What members take into the branch, what the bank asks, and how long approval takes.
What changes, what doesn't, and what still gets lodged every year. No tricks, no skipping it.
It's optional. Why some members get one anyway, and what that trades off.
Half the night is live Q&A. Ask the thing you've been googling at 11pm. Nobody's going to laugh.
On the panel

My wife came with me. She was probably more nervous than I was. But she was more amazed at the end when they sent the letter saying the bank account had been approved.Vic P · Building estimator, South Australia · TLC member

Real people. Real members.
This is a members' meetup on the Gold Coast. Nobody in a suit. Every one of them was sitting where you are now, googling the same questions, not long ago.
You get four who have been in the trenches and done this before. Live, for 90 minutes. Ask them the questions you've been googling.
Straight up
Yes. It's free. At the end we'll explain how membership works for anyone who wants to keep going. That's it.
No. This night is for people who are still working out whether any of it is for them.
No. Watch and listen. Type a question in the chat if you want to.
Please do. It's a much better conversation with two of you on the couch.
Yes. Everyone who registers gets the replay by email the next morning.
